MeloLearn training launch will be on 17 May 2021. We will be offering our first course on how to build your own incubator. Accounting for Poultry Farmers Using Stub.africa is a practical, beginner-friendly course designed to help poultry farmers take control of their business finances. A practical beginner course teaching poultry farmers how to advertise professionally in Facebook Groups.

The course will teach you how to run a successful hatchery and basic principle of incubation and brooding. The course topics include : How to choose an incubator, incubation principles, sterilizing the incubator, sourcing and handling of fertile eggs, candling, hatching problems and analysis, programming the incubator temp, humidity, turning and alarms, calibration of incubator, maintenance of incubators. The course includes online workshops and one on onsite workshop . Wrapup of what was learnt and how to apply the skills to a larger hatchery.


Growing Broilers from Day-Old Chicks to Six Weeks is a practical online course designed to help new and developing poultry farmers successfully manage broiler chickens through the complete six-week production cycle. The course takes you step by step from preparing the poultry house and receiving day-old chicks through brooding, feeding, watering, ventilation, litter management, biosecurity and flock health.

You will also learn how to manage your broilers week by week, monitor growth and uniformity, calculate mortality and feed conversion ratio (FCR), keep useful production records, identify common management problems, and prepare your birds for market. By the end of the course, you should have the practical knowledge needed to raise healthier birds, improve flock performance, reduce avoidable losses and make better production decisions.
